What is Shopesia?
The concept is simple. Shopesia alerts its subscribers to daily deal alert. When enough subscribers commit to buying the deal, the deal has been "shopped." Then everyone who purchased the deal can redeem the deal the next day, and start enjoying 50-90% on all the things they love to do, eat, buy and experience right in their neighborhood.
Who's behind Shopesia?
Sure, there are other social commerce sites. But the Shopesia difference is this: Behind every local site, there’s an already established local web portal site with strong local business ties. Shopesia first launched in Dallas, TX, but soon, Shopesia will be in over 50 cities and over 500 communities within those local markets.
How do I know if Shopesia is in my city and when?
On the homepage, a pull-down menu will display a listing of cities that have either active or are being activated. You can sign up now, and be the first to know as soon as it launches in your city!
How do the deals work?
Here's how a city activate:Sign up for our FREE email service, and be notified as soon as your city activates.Like what you see? Click BUY IT button to commit to buying the deal. Deals expire, so be sure to act fast!When enough folks have committed to purchasing the deal is considered “shopped “ and is available for all.Once the deal is "Shopped," you’ll get another email saying it’s ready.Log in to Shopesia.com to download or print your deal.Certificates are redeemable the following day, up until the expiration date (please read the fine print of each deal).
How will I know if a deal is “Shopped“?
Each Deal has a "Shopped point," meaning a required number of subscribers has to be met within a certain time period, as determined by the Merchant, before the Certificate can be purchased. When enough people have committed to the Deal, we’ll send an email indicating that it’s Shopped. Also, when you log in to Shopesia.com, the Shopped deal will also appear in the My Account portion of your profile under My Deals. And only after the shopping point is reached is when your credit card will be charged, and you can redeem your deal.
What if a deal doesn’t Shop?
Well, you won’t get the Deal, unfortunately. But your credit card will not be charged either. Better luck next time!
How will I be billed?
Only when a deal is “Shopped” and a deal can be printed/purchased will your credit card be charged. The line item on your credit card statement will say "Shopesia."
Is my credit card information stored anywhere?
No. Currently, Shopesia does not collect or store credit card information. Each purchase made through PayPal is an individual, safe transaction.
I signed up but I’m not getting my emails.You should have received an activation email immediately after you signed up with Shopesia to confirm your registration, which allows us to verify your email and account. Please check your Junk or Spam folder for that email. If you aren’t receiving emails, be sure to add Shopesia.com to your Contacts so the email does not end up in a spam or junk folder. You can also click on "Add To Safe List" or "Not Junk" in your email application.
Can I use the Shopesia deal immediately?
For many offers, like restaurants, you will be able to redeem the next day. Others, like a theatre ticket or salon visit, require appointments or reservations.
How do I use my Shopesia deal?Once the purchase has been finalized, you will get an email with a link to your deal, which you can print or download to redeem. The deal will also appear on the My Account page when you log in. Each deal has its own redemption details, so be sure to read the fine print and follow the Merchant’s instructions.
Can I buy a Shopesia deal as a gift?
Some deals allow you to print and distribute deals to your friends as gifts. Always check The Fine Print for details on whether gifting is available or limited. When it is available, this option will appear on the “Buy It” page.
Do Shopesia deals expire?Yes.
Each deal has a unique expiration period. All of the details on restrictions and expiration dates will be posted the day of the sale and printed on the deals. Please read the fine print of every deal.
Can I buy more than one Shopesia deal at a time?
Yes, as long as the merchant allows multiple purchases. The rules of purchase will be posted on the day of sale. Many merchants allow multiple buys, but some will be restricted for one use only or first-time clients only.
Can I get store credit or use one Shopesia deal for multiple visits?
No. A single Shopesia deal is good for one visit only. You will never be given store credit or change back on a deal for use on a subsequent visit.
What if I have a problem with redeeming the deal or with the merchant?
We encourage you to get in touch with the Merchant directly to settle any issues or learn more about the details. Their website and phone number are listed on the Deal itself.
